To save customers and employees time, optimize work and improve the quality of service, the service of express delivery of cargo transportation “Night Express” was decided to create various applications for customers (mobile application for iOS and Android platforms) and for drivers (tablet application for the Android platform).
The main requirements for the development were to accelerate the process of the client submitting the order (pre-order) and the delivery of the driver’s cargo, to accelerate and optimize the work of drivers, to combine the work of customers and drivers with the company’s CRM.
One of the difficult aspects was to synchronize the work of the CRM system and mobile applications. To avoid overloading the CRM system, it was decided to create a “layer” that would speed up the work and reduce the load on the CRM system.
In the course of the work, the following functionality is implemented: calculation of the cost of delivery, calling a courier, informing the user about the order statuses, printing stickers for sending, tracking the delivery status by the bill number (getting status from CRM), widget with the list of active user orders, multilanguage. In the tablet application for the driver, the driver is linked to a specific device, the order status changes, the filtering, the order archive, the generation of the Consignment Note and much more.
